YOU CAN’T AFFORD NOT TO QUIT

I have had quite a number people enquire about the cost of a Quit Smoking consultation, only to then hesitate when it comes to actually committing to booking the session.

In relation to any queries you have, I ask you to consider the following information.

Firstly, let me ask you this – how many cigarettes do you smoke per day?

I have been assisting a vast number of people to quit smoking since starting my business, and to date the average person cigarettes fifteen (15) cigarettes per day; equating to approximately one packet a day.

Ok, so how many dollars is smoking costing you?

According to statistics, a packet of cigarettes in Australia can cost you anywhere from $15.00 to $30.00, therefore averaging approximately $22.50 per packet.

A pack a day smoker would therefore spend $22.50 per day on average.

Based on the above information, if you are smoking approximately a pack a day at the average cost of $22.50 per day, then you are spending around $158.00 per week; $316.00 per fortnight; $1,265.00 per month; $15,200.00 per year (WOW)! Of course this varies a small degree over the course of a year but regardless of the exact dollar amount, I am sure we can all agree that this is a reasonable amount of money smoked away!!

So you may now be assuring yourself “well that’s ok, because I don’t smoke that much!”. Even based on the lowest average of around three (3) packets of cigarettes per week at the average of $22.50 per packet, that is still approximately $3,200.00 per!

Even for those trying to save money by purchasing tobacco and papers end up smoking away approximately $1,600.00 per year!

On average a smoker is spending anywhere between $1,500.00 and $16,000.00 per year on smoking.

I can definitely think of where that money could be better spent in my life, can’t you?!

What is smoking really costing you?

Of far greater importance than money is what the cigarette is really costing you. Each cigarette you have, you pay for with your health, life and longevity.

Do you want to be around for a long love filled life with your family (or family to be), or perhaps live long enough to see grandchildren, or simply long enough to enjoy life and live it to the absolute fullest of your potential? Each cigarette is in effect taking away those seconds, minutes and hours that are a birthright of yours so that these possibilities, dreams and goals of yours may in fact become just that – thoughts of what could be, rather than actual existence of what should be!

I could go into the ‘bottomless pit’ of what cigarettes are doing to you and your health, but you are an educated person and I am sure you are already aware of the many consequences and downfalls of smoking.
